HoopsBI AI Advisor Overview | A Complete Report Walkthrough
Once your contract experience is submitted, HoopsBI's AI Advisor builds a full career consultation report broken into seven sections: Overview, Salary, Career path, Leagues, Risks, Agents, and Negotiation.
Each section pulls from the same underlying profile, your stats, contract, priorities, and team experience, but looks at it from a different angle, so you can move from a single number on a page to a full plan you can act on. Here is what each section actually shows you and how to read it.
Good News: Players who contribute to HoopsBI will receive free access to the HoopsBI AI Advisor.
Overview: Your Report at a Glance
The Overview tab is the first thing you see after generation finishes. At the top, a dark summary panel shows your performance level, a short narrative of your situation, and the shortfall projected over the length of your contract. Below that sit five quick figures: current salary, average market rate salary, total contract earnings, total salary shortfall, and the number of contract experiences used to build your cohort.
A confidence score next to your name reflects how much comparable data existed for your profile, so a lower score simply means your cohort was smaller, not that the analysis is wrong. Underneath the summary panel, four cards give you a one-line preview of the best market, your next recommended career move, your main risk, and your best agent fit, each linking straight into the relevant tab.
Salary: Where You Stand Against the Market
The Salary tab is your compensation benchmark. Salary Intelligence lays out your current salary against the tier average side by side, along with your salary tier, performance tier, monthly gap, annual gap, total salary shortfall, and cohort confidence. A bar comparison makes the gap between your current pay and the tier average easy to see at a glance.
Below that, two expandable sections go deeper: Stay vs Move weighs your current pay against payment, contract, and support risks before recommending whether to remain or explore other markets, and Performance Gap Analysis breaks down which of your stats are most likely to move your market value and negotiating leverage.
Career Path: Your Phased Roadmap
The Career path tab lays out a three-phase roadmap rather than a single recommendation. Immediate covers the next 6 to 12 months and focuses on securing your current market value, with action items like preparing a market packet and anchoring your salary ask around the benchmark gap.
Each phase lists a salary range along with scores for professionalism and sporting quality and earning power, and where relevant, a specific option is spelled out, such as a named league and division, with its own salary range and scores. Mid-Term and Long-Term sections follow the same format, moving from a 1 to 2 year horizon toward stronger markets to a 2 to 3 year horizon aimed at higher-value markets, so you can see not just where to go next but where that decision leads after that.
Leagues: Best-Fit Markets for Your Profile
The Leagues tab ranks recommended markets against your career priorities, with a filter to sort by best fit. Each league card shows the country, tier, and timing, an estimated salary range, and a short explanation of why it ranks where it does for your specific profile, tied back to your stats and your highest-weighted priority.
Four scores accompany each card: fit, professionalism and sporting quality, opportunity, and lifestyle, each rated out of 10, with the guidance that anything in the 8 to 10 range is effectively top tier and even a one-point difference near the top is a meaningful step down. A separate Coaching Quality section below the league cards gives a compact read on the development environment across the recommended markets.
Risks: Warning Signs Before You Commit
The Risks tab surfaces the concerns you should raise before signing anything. Risk flags are grouped by category, such as Payment and Coaching, with a severity label like Low or Medium and a score out of 10, where higher scores mean a stronger, safer situation and lower scores signal caution.
Each flag includes a short explanation of what the score reflects, drawn from your submitted contract experience, along with a mitigation note telling you exactly what to ask about before prioritizing that market, whether that is payment schedule clarity and guarantee language or role, minutes, and player development resources.
Agents: Representation Matched to Your Profile
The Agents tab recommends representation based on how well an agent's track record aligns with your profile, showing a set number of agents out of those available. Each recommendation includes a fit score out of 10, the median monthly amount that agent has negotiated for players, and the countries that make up their market reach.
From here you can view the full HoopsBI agent report for more detail or click Prepare Outreach Script to move straight into drafting a message to that agent.
Negotiation: Scripts Ready Before You Talk
The Negotiation tab turns everything above into language you can actually send. Two prepared formats are available: an Agent Outreach message and a GM Talk Track, and you can copy the draft, edit it, or save it as a note.
The draft is built from your own numbers, referencing your position, experience, standout stats, current salary, and the specific markets HoopsBI has flagged as strong fits, so the outreach sounds specific to you rather than generic. Alongside the script, a HoopsBI Blog callout points you toward further reading on contract leverage, market timing, and overseas career moves.
Conclusion
Every report you generate is saved automatically and stays available any time under the Saved Reports section of AI Advisor, so you can revisit your numbers, scripts, and recommendations whenever you need them without generating a new one.
