Introducing HoopsBI: Smarter Decisions for Overseas Basketball Careers
Every basketball player dreams of going pro, of hearing their name announced, representing a team, and turning passion into a profession. For many, that journey does not end in the NBA; it leads to a world of international opportunities that are both exciting and unpredictable. HoopsBI was created to give players the power, knowledge, and confidence to navigate that world safely and successfully.
From College to the Pros
After completing college, most people pursue jobs or postgraduate degrees. But for a select few, basketball opens another door. These individuals possess the talent to extend their college basketball career to the pro level. While the NBA is the dream for many, it's not the reality for most; therefore, many players set their sights abroad. The process is simple; these individuals often are agents based on their statistical performance in college or network themselves to find a job playing professional basketball abroad.
The Problem
Professional basketball is played in over 80 countries around the world. Let's estimate that there are ten professional basketball teams in each country, which is potentially over 800+ teams in the world. According to the FIBA agent’s website, there are currently over 800 licensed FIBA agents! When you include coaches, all of these moving parts are operating in a fragmented system.
No Centralized Resource
Currently, there is no centralized resource to help players navigate their professional basketball journeys. In the corporate world, job seekers use platforms like LinkedIn or Glassdoor to research companies, compare salaries, and read reviews. However, within the overseas basketball industry, there is nothing. Overseas basketball players often rely on individuals within their immediate circle, their agent's word, a few WhatsApp messages, and hearsay from teammates. This isn’t enough, but it's how the business has been running since its inception.
This lack of transparency leads to serious consequences. Overseas basketball players accept contracts without knowing the living conditions, healthcare access, or financial reliability of the team. Some end up in mentally abusive environments, isolated from family, underpaid, and unsupported. The dream becomes a nightmare, not because they weren’t good enough, but because they didn’t have the right information. Bad actors thrive within this environment.
HoopsBI exists to change that. We have launched the first business intelligence platform for overseas basketball careers. Think of it as your personal scout, career advisor, and market analyst all in one. With data on FIBA agents, overseas basketball coaches, overseas basketball salaries, and overseas basketball team reputations, HoopsBI empowers athletes to make smarter, safer, and more strategic decisions.
If you’re sacrificing home, family, and comfort to chase a dream, you deserve more than blind hope. You deserve clarity, control, and confidence. That’s what HoopsBI delivers.

Career Development Report (USD $199 Quarterly / $299 Yearly)
Players have always been told that if they play well, the money and better league placement will come, but that is not always the case; certain teams, leagues, and coaches are better at advancing a player's career than others. Overseas basketball players often go into situations blind. They have very little information on the coach and his relationship with players; players also have very little information as to how a particular league will impact their future careers. The HoopsBI career development report fills in those blanks by answering questions such as:
Which countries have the best coaching?
Who are the best coaches?
Which leagues can increase my future salary?
Will this coach have a positive impact on my future salary?
Which countries will have the strongest impact on my future salary?
